#1: Introduction

Summary: *Third Person* Maybe it wasn’t a coincidence that she came in at the last minute the day he was closing…

Hey, Link, you’re locking up, right?”

Link looked up from the book he was reading at the register and his eyes laid on his friend, Pipit, “I guess. I don’t think anyone else is coming in tonight.”

Pipit nodded, “Well, don’t wanna upset the boss by closing early, do ya?”

Link shook his head, “No, not after what happened last time…”

Pipit nodded and laughed at the memory, “I was sure that one of us was getting fired…”

Link shook his head and looked back down at his book, “I’ll close up tonight, but I’ve got to leave early tomorrow, so you’re either gonna have to do it yourself or find someone else to do it.”

Pipit nodded and grabbed his cars keys, heading over to the exit, “I’ll get Saria to. It’s her turn anyway.”

Link nodded, clearly not listening anymore as Pipit pushed the door open and let it slam behind him.

Link looked up at the clock a brief second before looking back down at his book, becoming immersed in the story once more. He was so focused on the book that he didn’t even notice the door opening and closing, signaling that there, in fact, had been someone crazy enough to head in ten minutes before closing.

“Excuse me, I’m sorry to interrupt you- wait, are you reading Unwind by Neal Shusterman?”

Link looked up from the book and his eyes met the girl’s, quickly noticing her as the new girl, Zelda, that’s in his biology class. He cleared his throat and smiled, “Yeah. I started reading it yesterday and I just can‘t put it down...”

Zelda smiled and looked down at the book, “That’s one of my favorite books… I know it sounds bad, considering what it’s about, but I can’t help but love it.”

Link nodded, “I know what you mean.”

Zelda smiled, “I read the first one and the second one in two days cause I was so hooked! I can’t wait till the third one comes out.”

Link nodded and took a deep breath, “So… is there anything I can do for you?”

Zelda looked almost confused at first, but quickly remembered the purpose in coming in. “I think I left my… jacket… here a few days ago…” she paused and began laughing, “I’ve been looking for it for days, and then I remembered I might have left it here…”

Link nodded, “It’s the purple North Face, right?”

Zelda smiled and nodded slowly, “That’s the one!”

Link turned and walked back into the break room and grabbed the jacket, rushing back to hand it to Zelda, “Here ya’ go…”

Zelda took it and flashed a smile at him, “Thank you so much, I’ve been jacketless for too long.”

Link slightly laughed, “No problem…”

The two looked at each other for a minute or two, until Link snapped out of it, “I-is there anything else that I can get you?”

Zelda smiled and faked a look of thought, “Do you have any paper?”

Link looked around and grabbed a nearby napkin, “Will this do? I have notebook paper in my backpack if you’d rather have that…”

Zelda grabbed the napkin and smiled, “This’ll do…”

Link watched Zelda in confusion as she ripped the napkin in half. She began looking around for something which caused Link to look around as well, which caught him off guard when Zelda reached over the counter to grab a pen from his shirt pocket.

Zelda looked back down at the napkin and uncapped it, writing a few symbols on it.

Link watched her as she finished and capped the pen, sliding the pen and the pieces of napkin to him, smiling.

At first he was confused and started down at the napkin and pen, but it soon clicked.

He smiled and grabbed the pen and the other half of the napkin, scribbling on it. He capped the pen and slid the napkin half to her, placing the pen back in his pocket, “Is there anything else you need?”

Zelda smiled and looked down at the numbers on the napkin, “Nope… I should get back home before my curfew…”

Link nodded, looking at the clock. His eyes nearly popped out of his head when he noticed that it was nearly ten minutes past closing time, “Goddesses, I forgot about closing the store!”

Zelda giggled as he disappeared into the back for a few minutes. She stood there patiently until he came back, and when he came back, he looked at her, surprised, “I thought you left…”

Zelda smiled and shook her head, “No… I actually have to confess… this isn’t my jacket…”

Link looked at her and raised an eyebrow, “Oh?”

Zelda started turning red, “Here…” she put the jacket down on the counter, “I should be heading home…”

Link nodded and watched her walk out the door, completely confused on what had happened seconds ago.

Maybe it wasn’t a coincidence that she came in at the last minute the day he was closing…

Okay, anyway~
This is the first "part" of the 100 Themes Challenge that I'm doing ovo
It WILL be finished.
Eventually.
//slapped
Well, I have a few done, but not NEARLY as many as I could have gotten done this summer.
Other stories/life situations got in the way and prevented me from working on this almost ALL summer.
//slapped
Okaiii, anyway.
Enough of that.
Sooooz, I'm gonna TRY and post them in order, but I MIGHT get impatient and post some of them out of order... I dunno, maybe...

Wellz, I hope you liked it~
